Velveteen Shortalls: Tunnel Vision
Hello friends! This is another look that tricks one into thinking I'm wearing a lot less than I actually am hahaha. While it has stopped raining for the time being, the days are still pretty chilly here so I have been constantly coming up with different ways to layer my favorite pieces.
Anyone who knows me isn't a stranger to this sweater haha. I wear it often when the weather is cold because it's one of my favorites, but figuring out how to style it in a myriad of ways is always a fun challenge. The sweater is pretty bold on it's own, so I tend to gravitate towards a lot of black when styling pieces around it. For this look I chose to wear it over my velveteen shortalls from Tunnel Vision (you can view the shortalls on their own in a different post here), as well as a long sleeve mesh top underneath. And I won't let chilly days keep me from wearing my favorite fishnet tights! A little trick I use is layering colored tights underneath my fishnets for texture and warmth.
For finishing touches I chose my vintage acid wash denim jacket that I customized with a D.I.Y. Adicts back patch, nosebleed boots from T.U.K., as well as styling my hair in pigtails for a kind of urban goth/punk doll vibe.
I'm rambling now.. but you get the idea. On colder days, creative layering is key when trying to keep the integrity of your personal style. Don't be afraid to play around with pieces in your closet.. and never hesitate to take risks! Life is too short to play it safe... or something. ;)
Thanks so much for reading. Love to you all. =^.^=
