Blouse: Thrifted, Goodwill
Shorts: Thrifted D.I,Y,, Goodwill
Boots: Dr. Martens
I made another run to Goodwill over the weekend and scored some pretty swell pieces, with this blouse being one of them. I have been making more of an effort to go thrifting when I am feeling the urge to buy "new" clothes, and it seems to be working out quite well. One rule I have when I am shopping at a thrift store: anything is possible. Hahaha and by that I mean, if I see an interesting piece that I am not sure would look good on me or fit into my wardrobe, I snatch it up and try it anyway. This blouse is no exception. When I first saw it I thought "hmm.. someone's mom or grandma must have worn that with a pretty righteous pair of khaki pants" but with a closer look at the detail and design of the top, I had an urge to try it on and imagine all the different ways I could "de-mommify" it as a wardrobe item. Cue my docs, fishnets, and mint hair don't care attitude and whaddaya have? Just me wearing whatever the hell I want with confidence. ;P
I love thrifting. I love spending hours at a neon-lit, clothing pile haven where the odds of finding something amazing is a crapshoot and every single piece is lovingly bought and paid for with pride because I've earned it for the time I've spent searching.
What about you? Have you done any thrifting lately? If not, you most definitely should.
Magical treasure awaits. ;)
Thanks so much for reading. Love to you all.
