Take Me Away.

Shirt: Buffalo Exchange, D.I.Y
Shorts: Marshalls
Shoes: Here

Mixing different prints that ironically work perfectly together?  Count me in.  I think that is the key when I'm trying to come up with a look that is a little more refreshing and inventive.  Not that I'm the first person to mix prints, but I used to be the kind of chick who always had to match in the most conventional sense of the term.  As I get older and less concerned with my image reflecting any kind of normalcy, I have allowed myself to play with pieces and textures and prints more often, and by doing so the combinations are endless.

If you follow me on Instagram I am sure you are already tired of seeing this shirt haha, but I recently cut, sewed, and distressed the heck out of it in order to give it some personality and make it unique to me.  Yes, I am aware that an Iron Maiden tee is pretty cliché and redundant at this point, but as someone who actually listens to the band (Hallowed Be Thy Name is my favorite song of theirs) I will be sporting an Iron Maiden tee until I am a little old lady (especially when I am a little old lady haha). And, fun fact, the title of this post is from the song "Drifter" which is off of the album that this shirt's artwork is from.

Oh and um.. new hair!  I can't believe I finally took the plunge.  I had been wanting to try mint for SUCH a long time but was always too scared.  I had become such a master at the pink and purple family that I thought if I ventured out to the blue/green shades, I would be disappointed.  Um, quite the opposite.  I am so in love with this little pop of aqua on my head I could cry.  I am sure my mother will hate it. I love you Mom!

I hope you found some inspiration in this post!  I apologize that there aren't a variety of different pictures.. I really tried to pick out a new spot to shoot the pics, and of course people kept walking by.. and when people keep walking by, I take a million awkward photos until I have a few decent ones, and then I give up.  Hahaha.

As always, thank you so much for reading.  Keep being awesome, wear whatever you want, be whoever you want, and do whatever you want as long as it is with love, kindness and humility.
The world is in desperate need of humans like you. :)

Love to you all. =^.^=
