Faux Leather Jacket: Marshall's
D.I.Y. Striped Crop Tee: Goodwill
Skater Dress: American Apparel
Distressed Nosebleed Ankle Boots: T.U.K. Footwear
Hello everyone. I hope the weekend is treating you well. The title of this post is a lyric from a song by Morrissey called "Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself", and it perfectly captures how I've been feeling about life lately. Although nothing crazy or new is happening in my world, I feel as though it's been hard to keep up with everything and stay focused on goals, thus the two week hiatus on outfit posts. Sometimes breaks are necessary. :)
I thought I'd experiment a little more with pieces in my wardrobe that I've had for quite sometime.. I've been trying to be more creative with my clothes rather than giving up in frustration and going out and buying new ones (that I really don't need). I decided to wear a cropped tee over this American Apparel dress to add some warmth.. the dress is actually a halter and not quite fit to wear in cooler weather (even with a jacket worn over it), so I thought it would be interesting to layer it with a crop tee by keeping the integrity of the cut and flare of the dress while adding a little extra coverage on my shoulders.
I decided to keep the rest of the look simple by maintaining an overall black pallet. I realized that I haven't worn this faux leather jacket on the blog in awhile and immediately decided to bring it out for this post, considering it is an absolutely perfect piece for the Fall season and the chillier weather! As for the boots, if you read my previous post then you know they are the newest addition to my wardrobe. I am absolutely smitten with them, and I fully intend to wear them regularly in future posts, as they cost a pretty penny and compliment my personal style almost flawlessly.
Thanks so much for reading! I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving and a beautiful time spent with family and friends.
Love to you all. =^.^=
