Dress: Thrifted, H&M
Jacket: Old, Urban Outfitters
I don't know what it is about me and thrifted H&M lately but this is another dress I found while out on my thrifting excursion with a good friend a couple of weekends ago. It is a tad too big on me, but when I tried it on it was so comfortable and light and airy that I had to have it anyway. I must say, however, that I've had quite the difficult time trying to figure out how to style the dress to fit my taste without the risk of it looking too frumpy or plain, but I do love how simple yet versatile it is at the same time. I decided my jean jacket and black creepers would suit the dress best, because the pairing of said items together gives off a kind of punk/retro/pin-up vibe. I think my favorite part about the dress is the tiny white collar hehe. Kind of reminds me of a little sailor dress or something. So adorable!
Also, I wanted to do something different with my hair. I decided to sweep it off to one side with some bobby pins for a kind of playful flair to go with the whole retro look that seems to resonate throughout the entire ensemble. I'm actually really digging the way my hair turned out! Plus it's been super hot here over the past couple of days so anything to keep my hair (mostly) off of my neck is a good thing. I'm not really a ponytail girl so this look is a nice alternative. :)
And that's all for today! The weekend is upon us! I'm so excited because I am going on an overnight trip a few hours away to see Morrissey with my brother. Ahhhh good times to be had singing along to sad songs in joyful company haha. Anyway, I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend, or if anything are able to relax and enjoy yourselves! Thanks so much for reading.. you have no idea how much it means to me! XOXO.
Love to you all. =^.^=
