The shirt and skirt I am wearing here are both thrifted pieces I cut to fit my frame. The skirt was originally down to my shins and the shirt a big old mess so naturally after eyeing both pieces at my favorite neighborhood thrift store I scooped them up and brought them home and sliced them up into a brand new look for my closet.
I layered this outfit for chilly weather (because it is finally super cold for us California folk and a high of 60 degrees is asking a lot :P) with pink tights under fishnets and of course, my beloved faux leather jacket that always makes a regular appearance around this time of year. And to incorporate a kind of 'high vs. low' type of deal, I paired my mostly budget outfit with my not so budget platforms that I snatched up from Unif many months back.
Not much else to say here! Feeling a bit under the weather today so I am just going to take it easy, drink tea, and snuggle with my cats. I hope this look inspired some of you to hit up some thrift stores and/or to dig through your closet and reinvent some pieces you may have been ignoring for awhile. It's always better to try to reuse and recycle first before rushing out the door to find something brand new. :)
Thank you so much for reading. Love to you all. =^.^=
