My Love Is Cool.

Shirt: Thrifted, D.I.Y.
Shorts: Thrifted, D.I.Y.
Shoes: T.U.K.

Yay.. more thrifted, do it yourself pieces!  This shirt has been in my wardrobe for several years.. three?  I found it at a Goodwill and was sold on the print.  I do believe that Dwight from The Office and Mac from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia have been seen sporting the same one so... I have that going for me haha.

This is another example of a shirt I've had for awhile that I had been meaning to cut up and tailor to suit my frame.  This Summer I am making an effort to go through all of my t-shirts that I have collected over the years and give them a little "freshening up" and turn them into a completely new piece.  I have been feeling inspired to be more creative lately and to practice my "reuse and renew" mantra that I preach over here quite often.  Before, this shirt just kind of fell on me like a potato sack.. okay not quite that bad.. but it just didn't do a whole lot for my figure.  For such a long time I used oversized shirts to hide my body for whatever reason... I don't know.  Why do us women feel the need to hide?  We are all so amazing.. no need to cover up our beautiful selves with false insecurities.  Putting that behind me. I cut this one into a crop top, created a deep v-neck, and rolled up the sleeves (I'm thinking of sewing the sleeves this way to make it permanent), and voila!  I have a brand new (and awesome) wolf shirt. It's soooo perfect for Summer.

I wore this exact outfit the other night with fishnet tights but for this post I wanted to do something a little more practical and everyday, so I opted for my fishnet socks instead. ;)  Also this is probably the most blue you will ever see my hair.  I had to dye it again with lots more color so every part would get saturated (in the original dye some parts of my hair were missed altogether.. ugh).  But now I have a fresh base to work with so I can play around with pastel blue and green shades all I want.  Let me know if you'd like to see a post about hair and how I manage and maintain it!

That should do it for today!  Happy first day of Summer (for those that live around these parts haha).  Do any of you have some amazing plans for the months ahead?  I'd love to hear all about them.  :)

Love to you all.

    1. Awww thank you Lu! Honestly I found these shorts originally as jeans in the men's section at my local thrift shop! I just cut them and turned them into high waisted shorts! You can find any pair of oversized jeans at your local thrift store and turn them into shorts too! It's pretty easy. I'll keep this in mind to make as a post in the future. Thank you for your sweet compliments! <333

  3. Such a rad outfit. I love the idea of taking old clothes and transforming them into new ones. I've always been too scared to ruin the piece, but I wanna try it! And your hair looks amazing. <3

    1. Thank you, beautiful Emma! You should definitely try to transform some of your older pieces if you feel so inclined.. it's so fun and rewarding! Just start with a piece that you barely wear anymore, that way if you mess up, it won't be too heartbreaking. I always love your sweet comments, thank you for taking the time to stop by! <333
