Pastel Punk.

Hello everyone.  Hope the weekend is treating you well.  :)

"Over-sized" is the key ingredient for today, as I'm wearing both an over-sized jacket and sweater in this post... two items in my wardrobe that I love to bits.  I tend to gravitate toward items that are too big on me (my husband is so sweet, sometimes he'll say, "you should wear something that shows off your figure" as I'm constantly stealing his over-sized on me t-shirts, though he actually does love when I wear this sweater).  Alas, I can't help it, I am such a sucker for comfort.  And what with my last few posts showing off plenty of my figure haha, I thought I'd switch it up and feature something I tend to wear more on the day to day.

I've had this pastel sweater/jumper in my wardrobe for a couple of years, and anytime I want to feel like I'm wearing a puffy cloud of warmth and comfort, I'll throw it on.  I almost always pair it with opaque tights, leggings, or super skinny jeans to add contrast to its larger size.  (I definitely can't see myself wearing sweat pants with it, but I'm sure it would feel like heaven if I did hahaha.)

The acid wash denim jacket was featured a couple of posts back, and I thought I'd bring it out again and use it for this post, as it pairs quite nicely and comfortably with the sweater.  It has been a lot colder here in Oakland over the last few weeks, so I've been playing around with layers as the temperature can drop pretty drastically when the sun goes down.  I am really loving how the jacket compliments the sweater in both color and texture, and the leggings (jeggings?) add a perfect contrast to the otherwise "top heavy" duo.  I cut slits in them at the knee for a playful edge, and going back to my whole love for layers and textures, I decided to wear fishnets underneath as a kind of peek-a-boo effect to the outfit.  And of course, my metallic pink creepers had to make an appearance.  I can't imagine another shoe looking quite as perfect as these with the entire look put together.

Anywayyy, I've been rambling enough!  I hope you enjoyed this post, and that you will continue to stay tuned for more!

Love to you all. =^.^=
