Begin Again.

Hi everyone!  Susanna here, with my very first post for my brand new personal style blog, lovingly called "Susannicorn", because I truly believe I am part unicorn. :) I used to have a blog that I updated sort of regularly some years ago, but it was kind of all over the place and ultimately I felt stagnant as far as material and what I was trying to achieve for an overall concept/theme.  So I backed out of the blogging world for awhile, but knew I would come back when the timing was right.  That time is now.  I am still trying to iron out all of the kinks and details here and there, so bear with me as this new development blossoms.

Introduction aside, let's get to it: Summer.  My favorite season, and my favorite time of year to get dressed.

Pictured below are a couple of summer outfits I've put together, with the first picture being an outfit I wore today:

(You can't really tell from the image, but the top is a bit sheer, so the bra peeking through adds a little youknowwhat to the whole deal.)

Details:

Back to black, and my current favorite pair of shorts (and my all time favorite shoe, always and forever: the Dr. Marten). While I adore pastels (obviously), my favorite color to wear is black, and while black is tricky for summer, I figured out a way to make it work.  I'm super proud of the two images below because I actually managed to get a full on outfit post for this look.. I'm still figuring out camera angles and lighting and whatnot, but the hope for the future is to get more photos of myself where I'm actually wearing the stuff.  Give me time, it'll happen. ;)

Was playing around with filters for this next shot:

Aaannnd, my first post is complete! Thanks to all who took the time to read, and to all who might be interested in following me through this new endeavor of mine.  Personal style has always been a huge part of my life from the time I was a little girl.  I love expressing myself through my wardrobe, hair, makeup, whatever, and I love when other people do too.  It's nothing to be ashamed of, only celebrated.  Be yourself, and the rest will follow (or free your mind, that works too).
